Jennifer Vargas is a nurse practitioner specializing in women’s health. Prior to joining Arizona Oncology she spent 13 years working in an OB/GYN setting. During that time she developed an interest in breast cancer and breast abnormalities. Jennifer received her MSN from California State University Long Beach and received her Women’s Health NP certification from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Jennifer received training in cancer genetics at the City of Hope in their Intensive Course in Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment.
PHILOSOPHY
I feel honored to be part of a team caring for high-risk patients along with cancer patients and their families. I strive to provide evidence-based, personalized, and compassionate care. I am enthusiastic about prevention and feel that education and guidance can help high-risk patients obtain opportunities for screening and management of their care.
