Elizabeth (Aaron) Sermons works with medical oncologists to provide a team-based approach to patient care. She sees patients with hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, and benign hematologic diseases. Aaron provides education on chemotherapy and side effect management, as well as consulting services to hospitalized patients. She has experience in providing comprehensive patient care in both inpatient and outpatient clinic settings, including performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing, and formulating treatment plans.

Aaron finds the constant challenge of the healthcare field rewarding, and she enjoys being a part of an integrated team working together to serve patients in the best way possible. She provides compassionate, individualized care by listening to each patient’s goals and priorities. She believes her role is to provide the most evidence-based, up-to-date information to the patient as they work together to form a successful treatment plan. She values open communication and encourages patients to contact her directly with any questions or concerns. Aaron strongly believes in the team approach to cancer care and makes it a priority to coordinate with other members of the patient’s team to improve care and reduce any delays in procedures or services. She strives to make every patient feel heard, understood, and respected.

Aaron is married with two young children who keep her busy when she’s not at work! In her free time, she enjoys baking, exploring the outdoors with her family, and traveling to visit family living out of state. She tries to stay active by hiking and doing yoga.
