Dana Lawson, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C, is a nurse practitioner who has been delivering compassionate, patient-focused care in the Tucson area since 2014. Prior to joining the team at Arizona Oncology, Dana served as an emergency room registered nurse, fully developing the skills to effectively and efficiently respond to urgent health concerns while working with a multidisciplinary team. In addition to her expertise in emergency medicine, Dana also specializes in nerve blocks and chemotherapy infusions. Dana has a proven track record of serving as a strong patient advocate to enhance the quality of her patients’ care.

Dana knows that when patients see a healthcare provider, they expect to be listened to and cared for. She believes building trust is an essential part of providing care and prioritizes building a relationship with her patients. When she first meets with each patient, her goal is to ensure they leave that meeting with a better understanding of their diagnosis, treatment options, and the resources available to them. Dana believes in meeting patients where they are and helping them get to where they need to be through evidence-based healthcare practice.

Outside of work, Dana loves spending time with her family, especially her two kids. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and learning about different cultures. You can also find her giving back to the community through humanitarian work and volunteering.
