Adult and Geriatrics Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner

Brett Stewart is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner specializing in oncology, currently serving at Arizona Oncology. With a robust background in both acute and chronic care settings, Brett brings a comprehensive approach to patient care. Since December 2024, Brett has been an integral part of a heme/oncology outpatient clinic, collaborating with board-certified medical oncologists to provide holistic and patient-centered care. His expertise includes cancer diagnosis, treatment planning, palliative care, and the administration of chemotherapy and radiation.

Prior to his current role, Brett worked with Greater Phoenix Collaborative Care, P.C., focusing on post-acute care in skilled nursing facilities and inpatient rehabilitation. His work emphasized optimizing functional ability for patients post-hospitalization, using a collaborative and holistic approach.

Brett’s clinical journey began with an extensive residency in primary care, where he honed skills in managing chronic co-morbidities and developing comprehensive treatment plans. His early career included roles as an EMT, educator/trainer, college tutor for STEM degrees, RN and rehab admission coordinator, where he gained valuable experience in nursing management and patient care coordination.

Brett holds multiple undergraduate degrees from Montana State University and a Master of Science in Nursing from Boise State University, graduating magna cum laude, and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He is an active member of several professional societies, including the American Nurses Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

When not in the clinic, NP Stewart enjoys traveling with his wife, Maria, and his children, watching science fiction movies, and is an avid Motorsport enthusiast.
