Biography
Sarah Kilic, MD attended Wesleyan University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in molecular biology and biochemistry. She went on to receive her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School before completing an internship in internal medicine and a residency in radiation oncology at the Cleveland Clinic.
As a general radiation oncologist, Dr. Kilic is experienced in treating cancer in every part of the body. She has a particular interest in treating brain, breast, and gynecologic tumors. Dr. Kilic specializes in advanced image-guided external beam radiation therapy techniques, including stereotactic body radiation therapy/stereotactic radiosurgery and intensity-modulated radiation therapy, as well as high-dose-rate gynecologic brachytherapy.
Dr. Kilic is passionate about scientific research and advancements in radiation oncology. She has authored over 30 publications in various medical journals, including JCO Oncology Practice and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology, Physics. She has also published several book chapters and presented her research at multiple oncology conferences, including the American Society of Radiation Oncology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology annual meetings.
Philosophy
Dr. Kilic initially planned to pursue a career as a molecular biologist. Though she enjoyed research, she found she missed the opportunity for direct human connection. During a radiation biology research rotation, she discovered the field of clinical radiation oncology and saw it as an opportunity to make a direct positive impact on individual patients’ lives while still incorporating science and research into her career.
Dr. Kilic believes each patient is unique, and therefore, she approaches each patient with not only meticulous attention to the details of their cancer, but also with empathy and respect for their specific human needs. Dr. Kilic knows her patients as people, not just as their diagnoses, and will always approach their care with attention to their needs as an individual.
Personal
Outside of the office, Dr. Kilic enjoys weightlifting, hiking, cooking, and exploring Tucson’s food scene with her daughter.

Dr. Swart joined Arizona Oncology in January of 2011. She treats a variety of malignancies in women with a specialty in breast cancer. She also directs the practice’s high-risk breast cancer clinic. In 2016, she developed a survivorship program and clinic. Currently, she leads our Tucson division’s breast cancer clinical trials program.
Philosophy
As both a physician leader and patient advocate, I am extremely passionate about helping patients and their families through the hardest battles of their lives – the fight against cancer. Inspired by my aunt’s battle against ovarian cancer and my mother surviving breast cancer twice, I know how important it is to recognize patients’ individualized needs. I understand that every patient is different. Every patient brings something to their situation that you have to understand – it’s not just the disease, it’s that person’s values, experiences, and their perception. I believe by understanding this, it allows me to treat each patient as a whole. Instilling hope and guidance for my patients and their families is my passion, and it makes my career as a medical oncologist extremely rewarding and satisfying.
Personal
When I’m not providing direct care, I dedicate my time to causes and events that help raise funds to provide financial assistance to those who struggle in the fight against cancer. In addition, I enjoy staying active, cycling with my husband, and participating in Taekwondo.

Biography
Dr. Mack is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology. Additionally, he is credentialed to perform Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and prostate seed implants on RTOG/NRG protocols. He is also highly experienced in placing SpaceOar for diminishing radiation dose to the rectum during the delivery of treatment with IMRT, Seed implant, and SBRT, having handled hundreds of cases.
Dr. Mack performed rotations in gynecologic oncology and head and neck cancer at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. After completing his residency, he has maintained a private practice with strong emphasis in treating prostate cancer, head and neck cancer, and breast cancer, using the ever-changing technology of radiation oncology. Dr. Mack is trained in stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR) for lung cancer using his new state-of-the-art equipment. He also performs Hippocampal Sparing Whole Brain IMRT that can potentially diminish long term side effects.
He is involved in ongoing practice improvement with participation on a national radiation technology committee and has been an active participant in research within the US Oncology network. He also served as a principal investigator for a trial involving prostate cancer patients.
Dr. Mack received an American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology research fellowship and a Radiological Society of North American research and education fellowship to fund a dedicated research year during which he investigated the mechanisms of how prostate cancer invades the human body. Selected by his peers as one of the best doctors in America every year since 2010, Dr. Mack serves on the editorial advisory board for CURE Magazine, a national award-winning publication for cancer patients and survivors.
