Stefanie Schluender, MD earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY before completing her internship and residency in general surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. Biography
Roscoe Chan, MD, DABR, FRCPC, ACU is a board-certified radiation oncologist and a certified medical acupuncturist. Dr. Chan received his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong and completed a residency in radiation oncology at the University of Western Ontario. He completed additional postgraduate training at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA and Temple University in Johnston, PA. Dr. Chan is certified by both the American Board of Radiology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Prior to joining the team at Arizona Oncology, Dr. Chan served as the medical director of radiation oncology at the CHRISTUS Cancer Treatment Center in Shreveport, LA and the director of the Radiation Oncology Center in Dodge City, KS. He also held the position of assistant professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. Dr. Chan specializes in brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, stereotactic body radiotherapy, and intensity-modulated radiation therapy.
Dr. Chan has been published in several medical publications, including the International Journal of Radiation Oncology - Biology - Physics and Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. He is an active member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology.

Biography
Jillian O’Donnell, MD earned her medical degree from McGovern Medical School before completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also completed her gynecologic oncology fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.
Dr. O’Donnell treats gynecological cancers, including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vaginal, vulvar, and other cancers of the female reproductive tract. She specializes in the comprehensive surgical management of gynecological cancers, including both open and minimally invasive or robotic surgeries.
During her residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. O’Donnell was a member of the Medical Student Education Committee, where she organized and participated in educational activities for third-year medical students. She also served as chair of the Ethics Committee, where she organized educational activities related to ethical issues in obstetrics and gynecology. She received the UAB resident research award for best abstract in 2016 and best presentation in 2019. During her fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Dr. O’Donnell received the award for best research project by a fellow in 2022. The same year, she received the Golden Tarheel, which is awarded by medical students to fellows and faculty in the UNC medical system for dedication and excellence in medical student education.
Dr. O’Donnell is committed to contributing to the wider community of gynecological oncologists. In December 2020, she was invited to speak for the International Gynecologic Cancer Society Project ECHO Virtual Tumor Board in Danang, Vietnam, presenting “BRCA Mutations for the Gynecologic Oncologist.” She presented “Surgical Management of Vulvar Cancer” to the same group in June 2021. She is a current member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

Dr. O’Donnell strives to build a relationship with each patient and their loved ones. She believes understanding each individual’s goals and values is integral to providing high-quality, personalized care. She is passionate about providing comprehensive care, starting with the initial diagnosis and treatment through surgery, medical management, and supportive care. Dr. O’Donnell became a physician for the opportunity to interact with, learn from, and serve others; gynecologic oncology is a field where she can do that in the hospital, the operating room, and the clinic while interfacing with a diverse group of patients and providers. Biography
Neil D’Souza, MD, received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine after completing the Rice University – Baylor College of Medicine Medical Scholar combined BA/MD program. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio before completing his residency in radiation oncology at UT Health San Antonio – MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Dr. D’Souza has a special interest in treating breast, prostate, bladder, lung, head and neck, brain, skin, gastrointestinal, and gynecologic cancers, as well as lymphomas. He also works with palliative therapy for all forms of cancer. He specializes in stereotactic radiosurgery, fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy, intracranially stereotactic body radiation therapy for primary and metastatic disease, and gynecologic brachytherapy.
Dr. D’Souza is an active member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology, the American College of Radiation Oncology, the Radiologic Society of North America, and the Catholic Medical Association.
Philosophy
Dr. D’Souza believes in personalized, integrated cancer care that is compassionate and comfortable for the patient. He aims to offer every patient the same up-to-date and holistic care he would want his family members to receive. He believes in empowering the patient by educating them as much as possible on their diagnosis and treatment options.

Outside of medicine, Dr. D’Souza is a commissioned figurative and portrait oil painter who has exhibited in juried group exhibitions both locally and nationally. Biography
Basel Shoua, MD, earned his medical degree at the University of Aleppo, Faculty of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California Los Angeles, Kern Medical Center, where he also served as chief resident. Dr. Shoua completed his fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Arizona in Tucson and served as chief hematology and oncology fellow.
In 2022, he received the Arizona Clinical Oncology Society Outstanding Fellow Award. He specializes in bone marrow biopsy and intrathecal chemotherapy. He has a special interest in lung, GI, and breast malignancy as well as benign and malignant hematology.

My goal is to help my patients live longer and maintain and improve their quality of life. I work with my patients and their families to design individualized treatment plans based on the latest scientific data and tailored to their unique goals and values.

Casandra Liggins, MD specializes in gynecologic cancer and surveillance of women at high risk for gynecologic malignancy. Dr. Liggins earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado Denver Health Sciences Center before completing her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She is a current member of the City of Hope's Clinical Cancer Genomics Community of Practice, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Liggins is experienced with in-office procedures including colposcopy, vulvar, vaginal, cervical, and endometrial biopsies, and IUD insertion, as well as operative procedures including hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, laparotomy, and robotic modalities.
Outside of work, Dr. Liggins resides in Arizona with her husband and daughter. She enjoys being outdoors, reading, cooking, and spending time with extended family in the area.

Jennifer O’Neill, MD, FACS is a breast surgeon with Arizona Oncology. Board certified in general surgery, Dr. O’Neill specializes in breast conservation surgery for breast cancer with an emphasis on cosmetic results, mastectomies, with or without nipple sparing, inoffice core biopsies, SAVI device placement to allow accelerated partial breast irradiation, and benign breast disease, including granulomatous mastitis genetic testing with referrals for further counseling when appropriate. Dr. O’Neill earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee before completing her internship in general surgery at the University of Illinois. She then went on to serve as Chief Surgical Resident and complete her residency at Michigan State University Integrated Residency Program. She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and a fellow at the American College of Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. O’Neill is an adventurer. She is passionate about photography and brings her camera everywhere, from camping to hiking and underwater scuba diving. Her traveling goal is to reach and know every National Park and byway. Her family grounds her, and she loves spending time with her boys and daughter-in-law.

Biography
Peter Lee, MD, FACS earned his medical degree from Columbia University in New York, where he participated in the NIH Summer Research Fellowship. He completed his residency and internship in general surgery at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN before completing his colon and rectal surgery fellowship at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery.
Dr. Lee treats cancer of the colon, rectum, and anus. He specializes in minimally invasive or robotic-assisted procedures for benign and malignant diseases in those areas, as well as surgery for inflammatory bowel diseases including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. He also treats benign anorectal disease, including hemorrhoids, anal fistula, fecal incontinence, and anal dysplasia.
Before joining the Colorectal Surgical Specialists at Arizona Oncology, Dr. Lee practiced as a colon and rectal surgeon at Northwell Physician Partners in Huntington, NY, and OhioHealth Physician Group and Central Ohio Colon and Rectal Center, Inc. in Columbus, OH. He served on the teaching staff for colon and rectal surgery residents at Grant Medical Center and Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Delmer A. Montoya, MD earned his medical degree at the Universidad Católica de Honduras in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Canton Medical Education Foundation in Canton, OH, where he also served as chief Resident. Allan V. Espinosa, MD is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. Dr. Espinosa earned his medical degree from the Universidad Americana, Nicaragua, and then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He finished his fellowship in oncology/hematology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Espinosa also worked as a post-doctoral researcher on thyroid cancer at Ohio State University. Dr. Espinosa specializes in general oncology with a special interest in endocrine malignancies. He was awarded the Excellence in Continuity Clinic Care Resident Award, as well as the Resident Teaching Award and the Humanism Award. He is a member of the ASCO and the ASH.

Dr. Susannah Cooper is board certified in both medical oncology and hematology and has been practicing since 2011. As a graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, she spent the early part of her career as a military physician. She had a distinguished military career as a hematologist/oncologist, caring for active-duty military members, retirees, and their dependents. During her career in the Air Force, she served in multiple roles including the director of the oncology clinical trial program at Wright-Patterson Medical Center, member of the Cancer Care Committee, medical student site director, and key clinical faculty member for the fellowship training program at San Antonio Military Medical center. She reached the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and received the Meritorious Service Medal as part of her deployment to Afghanistan in support of the NATO-led Medical Training Advisory Group. After leaving the military, Dr. Cooper practiced as a general hematologist/oncologist in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and Knoxville, TN.

I am very passionate about my role as an advocate for my patients. Fighting cancer is for many one of the most challenging experiences they will ever have. For each patient and their family, this means something entirely different and it is my job to work with you, your family, and all other members of your multidisciplinary care team to provide you with the most comprehensive, up-to-date, and caring treatment possible. Dr. Hendershott is a fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist who also completed a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she was named the Chief Academic Fellow. Previously she was an assistant professor of surgery and assistant residency program director at Cooper University Hospital where she was an award-winning educator. She then worked as an attending surgeon at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. Dr. Hendershott has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at national surgical conferences. She is board certified, is a Fellow with the American College of Surgeons, has fellowship training in breast surgical oncology from Maimonides Medical Center, and has 15 years of experience specializing in the care of breast patients.
Dr. Hendershott specializes in the surgical management of genetic, familial, and triple-negative breast cancers and has a special interest in invasive lobular cancers. She has additional training in the performance of oncoplastic techniques to maximize cosmetic outcomes in breast conservation surgery. In addition to nipple-sparing mastectomies, she offers "aesthetically flat" mastectomy scars using complex closures and performs Goldilocks procedures in women desiring breast mounds without formal reconstruction.
Philosophy
As a breast cancer survivor, myself, I emphasize clear, compassionate communication and care coordination during cancer treatment. I focus on a "shared decision-making" approach with patients where we work together to identify the goals of care and the most appropriate treatments to achieve those desires. At the Silverbell and Green Valley offices, I can offer multidisciplinary visits where patients meet with the entire breast cancer team (medical and radiation oncology) at a single site and often at a single visit. Integrated care has been shown to decrease delays in treatment and optimize outcomes as well as increase patient satisfaction.

Dr. Bajaj finished both his residency and fellowship at the University of Arizona. He served as a co-chief fellow in his last year of fellowship, taking responsibility for junior fellows' education at the program. During this time, he also focused his training on hematology with special interest in blood and bone marrow disorders. His clinical interests include: acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndrome, myeloproliferative neoplasms, plasma cell dyscrasias, multiple myeloma, as well as a variety of benign hematologic issues, such as bleeding and clotting disorders, anemias and immune thrombocytopenic purpura.

Dr. Rebecca Viscusi is a breast surgical oncologist who has been practicing medicine since 2005. Specializing in surgical care for breast cancer patients, she was the first surgeon in the Tucson area to utilize radar localization to target cancer during a lumpectomy.¹ She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and certified in ultrasound through the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
Dr. Viscusi has been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has delivered conferences, scholarly presentations, and seminars on the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and general medical education. She has served as a reviewer for the Annals of Surgical Oncology and the Journal of Surgery.
Highly involved in service and outreach, Dr. Viscusi has been a member of the Susan G. Komen board, Tucson Society of Women Physicians and the Tucson Surgical Society. She served as a faculty advisor for the Association of Women Surgeons.
Prior to joining Arizona Oncology in 2019, Dr. Viscusi served as associate professor of surgery for the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, Section of Surgical Oncology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Aisha Ahmed has been in practice for 10+ years, treating cancer patients, teaching, and participating as a Clinical Investigator in clinical trials. She treats and evaluates ALL cancer types with a special interest in breast cancer.
Dr. Ahmed has extensive experience and expertise in treating breast cancer. She previously practiced in Western Canada and contributed to provincial Breast Cancer Clinical Guidelines. She served as Chair of the Breast Cancer Disease Site committee at the Allan Blair Cancer Center, SCA. In addition, she served as the lead Breast Oncologist at Ascension Medical Group.
Dr Ahmed is also interested in teaching. She served as a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, and at the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine, Canada.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Ahmed is highly involved in cancer research. She has served as a Principle Investigator for several practice changing clinical trials conducted by the National Cancer Institute and Canadian Cancer Trial Group (CCTG) for breast cancer, lung cancer and colon cancer. She has also worked as principal investigator of industry sponsored clinical trials.

Dr. Patel was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and moved to Arizona in 2000. Dr. Lipson completed a general surgery internship at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, after which he served two years as a battalion surgeon and regimental surgeon with the First Marine Division. He completed his urology residency at Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, Virginia, and then served as a staff urologist at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton until his release from active duty in 1998.

Biography
After graduating from the University of Alexandria, Dr. Abdelaziz completed his internal medicine residency in Baltimore, MD. During his residency, he participated in brain cancer research at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He finished his combined hematology and medical oncology fellowship at Karmanos Cancer Institute/Wayne State University. During his fellowship, he published in the field of kidney cancer. He has a special interest in lung cancer and breast cancer.
Philosophy
My ultimate goal is to help patients live longer and lead healthier lives. Quality of life is extremely important. This can be achieved by using recent advances in precision and individualized medicine as well as immunotherapy, which have changed the landscape of cancer treatment tremendously.
Beside all the new advances in diagnosis and treatment, it is very important to treat the person, not the diagnosis. Understanding the goals and values of each patient is an integral part of any treatment plan.
Personal
Outside of work, Dr. Abdelaziz enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. He also enjoys movies and playing basketball.

Biography
Dr. Westmacott is originally from Tulsa, OK. After enlisting and serving in the Navy for four years, he attended the University of Oklahoma for undergraduate and medical school. He received a BS in Chemical Engineering, in 1982, and an MD degree, in 1986, from the University of Oklahoma.
He subsequently completed a residency in Urology, at the University of Colorado, in 1991. He worked as a urologist for Kaiser Permanente in Denver, CO, from 1991 to 2000. He re-trained in Radiation Oncology at the University of Arizona, from 2000–2004.
Dr. Westmacott is board certified, in both Urology and Radiation Oncology, although he no longer practices Urology. He is a Radiation Oncologist at Arizona Oncology’s Craycroft office in Tucson.
He takes care of patients with all types of cancer, and has a particular interest in genitourinary cancers given his Urology background.

Outside of work, he enjoys cycling and visiting the kids in Colorado.

Biography
Dr. Art completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at Kansas University in Kansas City. He continued ongoing research in prostate cancer during his training at the university and was selected as the chief resident for his exceptional clinical and leadership skills. After completing his residency, Dr. Art practiced in Tennessee for several years before returning to his hometown to serve as chief of urology at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington.
Dr. Art credits his early experience as a child watching his father fight kidney cancer as the driving force that led him into urology. He has expertise in urologic oncology with an emphasis on robotics and laparoscopy, benign disorders of the prostate, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie's disease, stone disease, and incontinence.
His outside interests include spending time with his wonderful wife, Melissa, and their two young children, Madison and James. Dr. Art is an avid fisherman and recreational shooter. When he's not working or spending time with his family, Dr. Art is a rabid college sports fan, most notably for his beloved Kentucky Wildcats.

Dr. Stephen H. Ponas was born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He graduated from the University of Michigan Honors Program in 1984 with a degree in chemistry. He received his MD from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1988. He did two years of general surgery training at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis from 1988-1990. He completed his urologic surgery training at Washington University in 1994. His practice includes general adult urology with particular interests in urologic oncology including laparoscopic and robotic surgery, endourology, stone diseases, and female urology.

Dr. Jaffee received his bachelor’s degree at McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1993. After graduating from McGill magna cum laude, Dr. Jaffee received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. During his time at Albany Medical College, Dr. Jaffee was involved in medical research for diseases affecting the prostate at the Leahy Clinic in Massachusetts. It was that experience, combined with the influence of his father who was also a urologist, that convinced him to become a urologist as well.
“I saw how passionate my father was about caring for people and how meticulous he was as a surgeon; he combined his love of science, medicine, and people," said Dr. Jaffee. "He found his work to be profoundly satisfying, and I am fortunate enough to have followed in his footsteps.”
Dr. Jaffee completed his surgical internship and urology residency at SUNY Stony Brook. Following the completion of his training, Dr. Jaffee practiced urology in a diverse academic setting for 10 years in Providence, Rhode Island. He also gave lectures and mentored the medical students at Brown University School of Medicine. Dr. Jaffee's role as a faculty member at Brown University Medical Center required training the residents in urology as well as the fellows in urogynecology.
Dr. Jaffee is proud to have been selected as one of Rhode Island Magazine's Top Docs. He is proficient in the treatment of diseases affecting the prostate, bladder, kidney, and genitourinary system. He has additional expertise in issues relating to female pelvic organs and incontinence. In his spare time, Dr. Jaffee enjoys playing tennis, hiking, or unwinding with a good book.
He considers himself extremely lucky to be married to a physician who can help him solve all of life's mysteries, whether they be work or home-related. Together they have four wonderful children and a friendly miniature schnauzer.

Biography
As a leader in the field of robotic urological surgery, Dr. Borhan has one of the largest case series in the state of Arizona with regional and national draw, and has served as a robotic surgery instructor, training other surgeons in robotic and advanced laparoscopic techniques throughout the West Coast. He is well known for his practice philosophy emphasizing integrity and compassion, providing patients with unparalleled access and communication, leading to excellent outcomes.
Serving patients in both his Scottsdale and Phoenix offices, Dr. Borhan continues to provide top of the line care to men and women in the Phoenix Valley in areas of cancer treatment (prostate, kidney, bladder and testicular), prostate enlargement and disease, stone disease, female and male incontinence, hormonal therapy and fertility, nutrition and preventative health, and state-of-the-art vasectomies. His practice continues to be on the leading edge of the field, recently performing two new surgical techniques including bladder Botox injections for patients with neurogenic bladders, and Firefly fluorescence imaging used to make the robotic surgery less invasive and more precise. Both of these techniques were the first in the Valley. He currently is a clinical assistant professor at the Arizona campus of Creighton University, lecturing, educating, and serving as a mentor for medical students. He also serves as an instructor for a Minimally Invasive Gynecological Fellowship and additionally teaches surgical, internal medicine, and family practice residents as part of their curriculum. Dr. Cooper earned his medical doctorate from Wake Forest University School of Medicine while on scholarship with the U.S. Navy. After completing his surgical internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego, Dr. Cooper provided much-needed medical support for the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry out of Camp Pendleton for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
After eight months in Fallujah, Iraq, as a battalion surgeon, he was injured in the line of duty, distinguishing himself as the first U.S. Navy physician awarded the Purple Heart in nearly 30 years. Following his service with the Marine Corps, he completed his urology residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego, one of the largest military medical centers in the world. After graduating from his residency program, Dr. Cooper was transferred to Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Florida. He served as chief of urology at Naval Hospital Jacksonville before returning to his home in the Southwest as a member of the Affiliated Urologists team.
Dr. Cooper is an experienced robotic surgeon, having established the robotic urology program at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and Orange Park Medical Center in North Florida. Additionally, he has an extensive background in general urology, genitourinary cancers, stone disease, prostatic enlargement, erectile dysfunction, incontinence, infertility, vasectomy reversal, and prosthetic surgery.
Dr. Cooper is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology and an assistant professor of surgery at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Cooper is a compassionate and well-rounded physician who takes pride in patient care. He enjoys spending time with his family and staying active by playing softball, golfing, hiking, and going scuba diving. Dr. Cooper is an avid philanthropist and enjoys giving back to his community through healthcare outreach and charitable organizations. Biography
Shamudheen M. Rafiyath, MD earned his medical degree from Trivandrum Medical College in India before completing his internship in internal medicine at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital in Queens, NY. Dr. Rafiyath went on to complete his fellowship in hematology and oncology at New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY and his internal medicine residency at the Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ. He is board certified in medical oncology and hematology.
Dr. Rafiyath specializes in breast, lung, skin, and head and neck as well as gastrointestinal cancer, genitourinary cancer, and blood malignanices. He is part of several professional affiliations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He is fluent in English, Malayalam, and familiar with Hindi and Tamil.
Philosophy
Compassion is an integral part of cancer care. It’s important that I take the time to listen and understand my patient’s goals. My aim is to educate and inform patients and their families about the disease so we can make a shared decision and tailor treatment according to each individual patient’s needs.
Personal
When not at work, Dr. Rafiyath spends his time with his wife and three kids. They love to travel and visit family members abroad. They also play sports, particularly badminton. Both Dr. Rafiyath and his wife are active in community, especially in social services, with the hope of helping those in need.

Biography
Dr. Thaker received his undergraduate degree in biology with summa cum laude from The College of New Jersey and his medical degree with junior Alpha Omega Alpha status from Rutgers University – New Jersey Medical School. He received both degrees through the highly competitive 7-year accelerated combined medical program. During medical school, Dr. Thaker helped develop novel therapeutic combinations for brain tumors and was awarded a clinical research fellowship through the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Upon graduating medical school, Dr. Thaker completed a transitional internship at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where he worked with leading community doctors in general medicine, obstetrics, gynecology, and pediatrics. He then completed residency training in radiation oncology at the prestigious University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas - the #1 ranked cancer center in the country by US News and World Report. In an effort to improve the quality of cancer care in patients’ communities, Dr. Thaker also completed a fellowship in healthcare management, where he worked with national leaders in quality improvement and healthcare innovation at the MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Harvard Business School on innovative cancer care delivery initiatives.
Dr. Thaker is double-board certified in radiation oncology and clinical informatics, holds an MBA degree, is Certified in Medical Quality, and is a Project Management Professional (PMP). He works with leading experts in all aspects of radiation oncology and has helped develop cutting-edge cancer therapies. He has expertise in treating a wide range of cancers, including breast, gynecologic, gastrointestinal, lung, head and neck, genitourinary, and central nervous system malignancies. Dr. Thaker holds several national leadership positions in the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), the American Brachytherapy Society (ABS), and The US Oncology Network.

I have a strong devotion to community-based cancer care, and I strive to bring the highest quality of cancer care to patients living close to their homes. I am deeply passionate about helping patients and their families through their fight against cancer, and I believe in patient-centered care, where I combine each patient’s personal values with strong multidisciplinary collaboration and the most cutting-edge standards of cancer care. I constantly strive to maximize the effects of treatment while minimizing side effects, and I work tirelessly to communicate with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and staff throughout their cancer care. Through Arizona Oncology and The US Oncology Network, I can bring the latest advancements and clinical trials to patients who need them most.

In addition to his devotion to community cancer care, Dr. Thaker enjoys swimming, running, biking, hiking, traveling, watching movies, and singing Bollywood songs. He especially enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children.

Biography
Dr. Manda’s areas of expertise are gastrointestinal cancers, which include colorectal, pancreatic, biliary, hepatocellular, gastric and esophageal cancers. He has a focused interest in the field of GI malignancies that includes detection and treatment of colorectal and other gastrointestinal neoplasms.
Malignant hematology is another area of special interest to Dr. Manda, and he is a member of the US oncology hematology committee. He is actively involved in both hematology and GI clinical trials through the US Oncology Network Research program.
Dr. Manda believes in a multidisciplinary approach for holistic patient care that includes integrated services such as working with a radiation oncologist, the patient's primary care doctor or specialist, diagnostic imaging, clinical research, genetic counseling, in-house lab work, social worker assistance, nurse navigation, patient support groups, nutrition counseling, and programs for survivorship.
Philosophy
I value getting to know my patients personally. I believe in active collaboration with patients and families to design individualized treatment plans that are based on the latest scientific data and tailored to their unique goals and values. It is important to me that I listen to and communicate with my patients unambiguously, discussing their treatment options and answering their questions in plain language, so that they have a clear understanding of their disease and are able to choose what is best for their needs. I want no patient to leave the office thinking they were rushed through their visit.

After completing his undergraduate studies in physics at Arizona State University, Dr. Vonk graduated with honors, with a focus in medical physics. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison. Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Vonk completed a transitional internship at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Arizona where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Vonk's primary focus is to compassionately deliver evidence-based care that is patient-centered. He has a particular interest in the implementation of advancing radiation technologies including intensity modulation, stereotactic ablative therapy, and functional imaging for target delineation.
When outside of the clinic, Dr. Vonk spends his time hiking and camping in the beautiful desert and mountains of Tucson with his wife and three young boys.

Biography
Dr. Swart earned her medical degree from Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago in 2003. She also earned a PhD in Tumor Cell Biology from Northwestern University in the combined MD/PhD program. She went on to complete both her residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Arizona. In 2006, Dr. Swart was appointed assistant professor in the section of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Arizona, where she focused on treating breast cancer and researching circulating tumor cells in breast cancer.
Dr. Swart joined Arizona Oncology in January of 2011. She treats a variety of malignancies in women with a specialty in breast cancer. She also directs the practice’s high-risk breast cancer clinic. In 2016, she developed a survivorship program and clinic. Currently, she leads our Tucson division’s breast cancer clinical trials program.
Philosophy
As both a physician leader and patient advocate, I am extremely passionate about helping patients and their families through the hardest battles of their lives – the fight against cancer. Inspired by my aunt’s battle against ovarian cancer and my mother surviving breast cancer twice, I know how important it is to recognize patients’ individualized needs. I understand that every patient is different. Every patient brings something to their situation that you have to understand – it’s not just the disease, it’s that person’s values, experiences, and their perception. I believe by understanding this, it allows me to treat each patient as a whole. Instilling hope and guidance for my patients and their families is my passion, and it makes my career as a medical oncologist extremely rewarding and satisfying.
Personal
When I’m not providing direct care, I dedicate my time to causes and events that help raise funds to provide financial assistance to those who struggle in the fight against cancer. In addition, I enjoy staying active, cycling with my husband, and participating in Taekwondo.

Dr. Neuschatz has published numerous articles on breast and lung cancer in prestigious journals including Cancer, Annals of Surgical Oncology, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics. Biography
Following graduation from medical school, Dr. Neuschatz completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in radiation oncology at the Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. He served as chief resident before joining Arizona Oncology. While there, he was awarded an Oliver Smith award for excellence, compassion, and service to patients at Tufts-New England Medical Center.
He has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of invasive breast cancer and ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), gastrointestinal and gynecologic malignancies, and the use of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
Dr. Neuschatz has been recognized by his peers as a Tucson “Best Doctor” and one of the “Best Doctors in America” every year since 2013.
When not spending time with his two daughters and his dogs, he enjoys running, skiing, and traveling.

Biography
Dr. Lewis is a full member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She specializes in the treatment of gynecologic cancers including endometrial, cervical, ovarian, vulvar, and vaginal cancers. Dr. Lewis is an accomplished robotic surgeon, providing state of the art surgical techniques for the treatment and staging of endometrial cancer. She actively enrolls patients in clinical trials, offering hope for a better outcome with each patient.
Dr. Lewis has practiced in Tucson since 2006. She resides with her husband, a fighter pilot with the Arizona National Guard, and their three sons. Her other interests include running, traveling and enjoying the outdoors.

Biography
Dr. Mack is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology. Additionally, he is credentialed to perform Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) and prostate seed implants on RTOG/NRG protocols. He is also highly experienced in placing SpaceOar for diminishing radiation dose to the rectum during the delivery of treatment with IMRT, Seed implant, and SBRT, having handled hundreds of cases.
Dr. Mack performed rotations in gynecologic oncology and head and neck cancer at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. After completing his residency, he has maintained a private practice with strong emphasis in treating prostate cancer, head and neck cancer, and breast cancer, using the ever-changing technology of radiation oncology. Dr. Mack is trained in stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR) for lung cancer using his new state-of-the-art equipment. He also performs Hippocampal Sparing Whole Brain IMRT that can potentially diminish long term side effects.
He is involved in ongoing practice improvement with participation on a national radiation technology committee and has been an active participant in research within the US Oncology network. He also served as a principal investigator for a trial involving prostate cancer patients.
Dr. Mack received an American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology research fellowship and a Radiological Society of North American research and education fellowship to fund a dedicated research year during which he investigated the mechanisms of how prostate cancer invades the human body. Selected by his peers as one of the best doctors in America every year since 2010, Dr. Mack serves on the editorial advisory board for CURE Magazine, a national award-winning publication for cancer patients and survivors.

Personal
Dr. Mack has been very active on the board of Handi-Dogs, a non-profit organization dedicated to training service and therapy dogs for seniors and those with disabilities. He is a cancer survivor himself after battling Acute Leukemia with chemotherapy, total body radiation, and a bone marrow transplant. He is now in excellent health after a full recovery and appreciates the insights he gained “on the other side of the stethoscope”. He enjoys CrossFit, running, camping, photography, and reading, with his weimaraners nearly always at his side.

Dr. Frye specializes in radiation oncology with expertise in treating brain and spine tumors, as well as lung, gastrointestinal, and head and neck malignancies.
While studying for his undergraduate degree, he participated in a research fellowship at The University of Florence, Italy in neuropharmacology. He received his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School.
Dr. Frye completed residency in the Department of Radiation Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital where he received specialized training in stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy. He was also trained in using unsealed radiation sources. Following his residency, Dr. Frye was an attending radiation oncologist for the Duluth Clinic in Duluth, MN, where he served as the section chair and medical director of the region’s first stereotactic radiosurgery program. He was then recruited to Georgetown University Hospital, where he served as a clinical instructor.
Currently, Dr. Frye serves as division chief of neuro-oncology at the Carondelet Neurological Institute. He is an active member of the American Society of Radiation Oncology.
Philosophy
He believes in patient-centered care, including a commitment to multidisciplinary collaboration with each patient’s clinical team, which can be comprised of additional physicians, nurses, radiologic technicians, and medical physicists. This team approach is enhanced by thorough communication with his patients, their families, and the clinical care providers. He practices goal-oriented care, maximizing treatment results and minimizing side effects, with an aggressive approach to pain management.
