Michael Bookman, MD, has joined Arizona Oncology, a practice in The US Oncology Network, as a medical gynecologic oncologist, and US Oncology Research, as Director of its Gynecologic Oncology Research Program. “Our clinical research environment is evolving rapidly, and as a national leader, US Oncology is uniquely positioned to offer many innovative trials to women with gynecologic cancers, including rare and uncommon subtypes.”
From a clinical perspective, "I believe in offering compassionate and individualized care through an integrated multi-specialty team with a dedicated focus on women with gynecologic cancer. This team-oriented approach also maximizes the opportunity for patients to participate in advanced clinical research studies with new treatments and technologies."
Bookman has previous experience working for the National Cancer Institute, the Gynecologic Oncology Group, and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network. He continues to serve as Chair of the Ovarian Committee for the GOG Foundation and NRG Oncology (www.nrgoncology.org). He also serves as Director of Educational Resources for the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (www.igcs.org).
