Biography
Dr. Flaherty joined Arizona Oncology in 2016 and treats many types of cancers with a focus on genitourinary cancers and research studies with those cancers. She also treats patients with breast, prostate, lymphoma along with other benign blood disorders.
Dr. Flaherty completed her fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center in Hematology/Oncology. Throughout her fellowship she focused on Genitourinary cancers and presented posters at GU ASCO but for her private practice she has been seeing all patients with hematologic and oncologic diagnosis. Prior to her fellowship, Dr. Flaherty was a chief resident in charge of the internal medicine residency program at UT Health Science Center in Houston. She also worked on publications and presentations pertaining to genitourinary malignancies.
Dr. Flaherty enjoys spending time with her husband and being a mom to her two boys. When she is not running around after the boys she enjoys exercising, volunteering and educating the community.
