Tucson, Arizona (January 20, 2020) — Arizona Oncology (AO), a leading provider of comprehensive cancer care in the Southwest, today announced the addition of a breast surgical oncologist and a medical oncologist to their east-side Craycroft practice in Tucson. Breast surgical oncologist Rebecca Klein Viscusi, MD and medical oncologist and hematologist Aisha Ahmed, MD, bring extensive experience and training in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer to Arizona Oncology, expanding the practice’s breast cancer specialist team.

The American Cancer Society estimates approximately 5,630 women in Arizona will be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020.1 AO’s breast cancer specialists—including medical, radiation, and breast surgical oncologists, a dedicated nurse navigator for breast cancer patients, plus genetic risk evaluation specialists—can now serve more patients throughout Pima County.

Drs. Viscusi and Ahmed are joining a team of more than 75 highly skilled physicians at Arizona Oncology, a leading oncology group in the region with seven locations throughout Tucson and Green Valley. I’m looking forward to being part of such a multifaceted and committed team of specialists in the fight against cancer.”
