We wanted to reassure you that Arizona Oncology remains open to provide medically necessary, life-sustaining care. In addition, our expert care team can now see patients through scheduled virtual appointments on a secure platform from the comfort and safety of your home.

Updated visitor policy: For the safety of our patients and staff, effective April 3, 2020, no visitors will be permitted into the clinic. Family members and caretakers may participate in the appointments remotely by phone or video conference if desired.

If you have flu-like symptoms, you should contact Arizona Oncology before visiting our clinics for scheduled appointments. This includes fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as coughing or difficulty breathing.

We are pleased to announce Robert McLellan, MD, FACOG has joined our team at Arizona Oncology.


Dr. McLellan is board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics & Gynecology and looks forward to advancing cancer care in the community. Dr. McLellan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Boston College (1976) followed by a Medical Doctorate from the University of Maryland School of Medicine (1980). His residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics was at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Following three years in private practice as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Dr McLellan completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital (1989). Since 1989, Dr. McLellan has served on the Senior Surgical Staff and as Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Service at The Lahey Clinic Foundation in Burlington, MA. He has been Chair, Department of Gynecology at The Lahey Clinic for the past 11 years and Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Boston University School of Medicine. 

Dr. McLellan received an honorable discharge as a Commander, Medical Corps, United States Naval Reserve where he served with the surface fleet in forward deployed positions in 2001 and over the last decade. He is the former President of the New England Association of Gynecologic Oncologists and a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Society of Gynecologic Oncology, and American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
