PHOENIX—Linda Benaderet, DO, of Arizona Oncology, will be moderating a special Tweet Chat in recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Tweet Chat is scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wed., Oct. 13. Dr. Benaderet will answer breast health questions and post breast health tips on twitter.com/johnclincoln. Those participating are asked to use the hash tag topic #breasthealth at the end of their messages so that all questions and comments can be captured.
Dr. Benaderet provides advanced and comprehensive breast cancer care as part of the Arizona Oncology network, which treats more cancer patients than any other cancer care provider in the state of Arizona. She is on staff at both John C. Lincoln Hospitals and provides care for patients referred by John C. Lincoln’s Breast Health and Research Center. A medical oncologist specializing in breast cancer, she has considerable experience teaching, having lectured for 10 years as Professor of Medicine at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, Calif.
“I believe this is going to be a great tool to not only reach out to the social media audience, but invite those who may not currently participate in health-related talks online,” said Benaderet. “It will also allow people to feel a sense of security to ask questions they may otherwise feel uncomfortable to do in person.”
Dr. Benaderet will also be speaking at an Inflammatory Breast Cancer seminar sponsored by John C. Lincoln Health Network. The seminar will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital Medical Office Building 1, 19841 N. 27thAve. The seminar is open to the public; those interested in attending can register at RSVP@jcl.comor by calling 623-434-6265.
