TARGET AUDIENCE

Primary Care Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Hematology/Oncology Residents & Fellows and other Allied Health Professionals.
 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This program will address critical issues related to the decision making for, and treatment of, patients diagnosed with cancer. The optimal care for cancer patients is ever changing with advances in screening and therapy. The goal is to update primary care providers and allied health professionals on the latest patient care recommendations, new advances in the diagnoses and treatment of cancer in a format that allows for timely application of evidenced-based protocols.
 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Prepare primary care for the growth of genomic data and the use of such data to develop individualized preventive strategies
Develop mechanisms for efficient, early referral to oncologists
