Arizona Oncology helps Teal It Up Foundation Raise over $30,000 to donate to research for Ovarian Cancer


Teal It Up Foundation Announces Shoot For the Cure Event To Raise Awareness Of Ovarian Cancer SCOTTSDALE, AZ – In its ongoing efforts to raise awareness about the fight against ovarian cancer, the Teal It Up Foundation is proud to announce the first annual Shoot for the Cure sporting clays fundraising tournament. The event, the first of its kind in Arizona will take place at the Ben Avery Clay Target Center in Phoenix, AZ on September 26, 2015. The shotgun shooting fundraiser will consist of a 50-target sporting clays course of fire that begins with a firearm safety briefing. Novice shooters will have the opportunity to attend an introductory class to learn basic shooting fundaments led by former USA Shooting Team member and 3-time National Champion Shari LeGate. “Shoot for the Cure is raising money to support early detection efforts, help fund genetic testing and contribute to research that will find a cure for ovarian cancer.”, said Sharon Hamilton, Chairwoman and Teal It Up Foundation Board Member. “As a survivor, I would like to invite everyone to join us in our endeavor to raise awareness to prevent this killer disease and its devastating effects on women, their families and loved ones.” Included in the entry is breakfast, lunch, 50 clay targets, ammunition, eye and ear protection and loaner shotguns will be available. Sponsored by Arizona Oncology and supported by Fiocchi Ammunition, the Shoot for the Cure event has received more than $22,000 in donated prizes, raffle and auction items.
