Prior to joining Arizona Oncology Associates, Dr. Gonzalez-Osete held a variety of teaching positions at the University of Arizona, National Autonomous University of Mexico and Hospital Seguro Social in Nogales. He has received several awards during his career including the Connell Fellowship Award and the Outstanding Oncology Fellow Award. He has authored numerous articles which have been published in the American Journal of Medicine, Oncology Times, Revista Gastroenterologia Mexicana and Journal of Clinical Oncology, and has contributed chapters to several books on critical care medicine, hematology and oncology. In addition to being widely-published, Dr. Gonzalez-Osete has been invited to present at a variety of meetings and conferences on topics ranging from lung cancer to blood banking and transfusions. Dr. Gonzalez-Osete currently serves as the hematology & oncology section chairman, as well as the blood transfusion committee chairman at St. Maryâ��s Hospital. Dr. Gonzalez-Osete is fluent in Spanish and English.
