PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION:
Dr. Nelson completed her undergraduate education at Moorhead University in Minnesota and earned her M.D. from the University of North Dakota school of Medicine. She comes to Arizona from a Fellowship in Gynecology Oncology and teaching position in the Division of Gynecology of the Medical Branch of the University of Texas at Galveston. Prior to her Gynecology Oncology Fellowship, she served as a clinical instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine. She also has co-authored works on ovarian cancer research.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Dr. Nelson is board certified in Gynecology Oncology.
HONORS:
Elected to Phi Kappa Phi, the nations most selective all-discipline honor scociety. Inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the only national honor medical society in the world.
