Richard Rosenberg M.D.

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION:
A California native, Dr. Rosenberg earned both a bachelor’s degree and medical degree from University of Florida. He interned, completed a medical residency and was chief resident at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rosenberg joined the Medicine Branch of the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland where he completed a fellowship in medical oncology. In addition to the clinical training, he performed laboratory research on the cell biology and molecular genetics of lung cancer. Dr. Rosenberg came to Tucson as an assistant professor of medicine at University of Arizona’s Cancer Center where he continued his laboratory research on lung cancer and directed the Lung Cancer Program. He was also a faculty member of Cancer Biology Graduate Program at the University of Arizona.In 1992, Dr. Rosenberg joined Arizona Oncology Associates where he now practices both medical oncology and hematology. His book “Coping with Cancer” will soon be published.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Dr. Rosenberg is board certified in both internal medicine and medical oncology by American Board of Internal Medicine.

HONORS:
Dr. Rosenberg is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. His research has been widely published in journals including Surgery, Science and Oncogene.
