Michael Roberts M.D.



PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION:
A native New Yorker, Dr. Roberts earned a bachelor of art degree in biology from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and a medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed a medical internship and a junior medical residency at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Houston and a senior medical residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He completed a hematology fellowship, a chief hematology fellowship, an oncology fellowship and a chief oncology fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Dr. Roberts is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology and medical oncology, and by the National Board of Medical Examiners as an individual investigator.

HONORS:
He is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine, and American Society of Clinical Oncologists. Dr. Roberts has extensive experience in research, serving as the principal investigator in more than 100 studies. He was a founding member of the Arizona Institute of Breast Health as well as the Center for Thoracic Disease. He is currently the vice chair of medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center and holds the office of president for Arizona Oncology Associates.
