REFERRING YOUR PATIENTS
It is our great privilege that you have entrusted us with your patients, and you have made the right choice with Arizona Oncology. Our oncology teams will warmly welcome your patients and quickly act to evaluate and treat their diseases.

As the referring physician, we encourage you to contact us when making a referral. You are a crucial part of your patient's medical team. Your knowledge and advice is important in our process and will help determine the care your patient will receive at Arizona Oncology.

Arizona Oncology oncologists work closely together in every stage of diagnosis, treatments, and decisions that affect a patient's health. This collaboration brings your patients the advantage of multiple opinions, and oncology services that are customized and integrated to best address their specific conditions.

We will make every effort to see your patients as quickly as possible. Their initial visits with us will be smooth and comfortable, especially if they know what to expect and what to bring.

In some cases, where required by a patient's insurance company, you will need to provide an authorization or referral to see a specialist. We will also need the new patient's insurance information, to be provided by the patient or your office (some patients need help in communicating this information). We will verify your patient's insurance coverage and benefits before the first visit, and let the patient know of any out-of-pocket expenses required.

If any tests or scans have been conducted for your patient, we will appreciate receiving the actual films and reports so we can assess the patient's condition. For biopsy and pathology work done, we will need the written report with the diagnosis information. Any other relevant history in the patient's medical files will also help us.
