Laurie Chen M.D.



PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION:
Dr. Chen received her medical degree from China Medical University in Shenyang. She came to the US in 1993 as a Microbiology researcher and worked at Emory University until 1997 when she started residency training in Internal Medicine at Jersey Shore Medical Center at Neptune, New Jersey. She then pursued a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at State University of New York where she received extensive training in the clinical management of a broad spectrum of solid tumors, malignant and benign hematology. Dr Chen came to Tucson in 2004 after completion of fellowship and has been practicing Oncology/Hematology in the northwest area of Tucson.

CERTIFICATIONS:
Dr. Chen is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology.

HONORS:
Dr. Chen had received first class scholarship throughout her five years of medical school education and was honored as intern of the year in her residency training. Dr. Chen is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Chen has published numerous scientific articles in journals including Blood, Proceedings the National Academy of Sciences and Journal of Bacteriology.
