PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION:
He completed his undergraduate work at Stanford University, and earned his medical degree from University of Arizona College of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine at University of Arizona Affiliated Hospitals in Tucson, where he also completed his residency. Dr. Ketchel was a fellow in medical oncology in the Department of Developmental Therapeutics at M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute in Houston. Dr. Ketchel has served as medical director of the oncology unit at Tucson Medical Center, southern Arizona medical director of a healthcare network and chief of staff at El Dorado Hospital & Medical Center.
CERTIFICATIONS:
Dr. Ketchel is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
HONORS:
He has been active on a variety of committees and teams focusing on medical ethics, medical review, quality assurance, oncology support and wellness. He is a member of the Pima County Medical Association, Arizona Medical Association, American Medical Association, American Society of Internal Medicine, American Society of Clinical Oncology and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
